Your day begins with a visit to Stratford Upon Avon, a charming market town set in the heart of rural England. Your first stop is Shakespeare's Birthplace Museum where Shakespeare and his brothers and sisters were born and brought up.

This house is furnished in period style, with rare artefacts on display and costumed guides, as well as up to date exhibitions.

Following the museum you will visit the Holy Trinity church where Shakespeare was both baptised and buried.

A panoramic tour of the town gives you a good overview of Stratford with some free time before you continue for a photo stop at Anne Hathaway's cottage. This is a beautiful timber-framed thatched farmhouse that was Shakespeare's wife's childhood home.

Why choose a small group tour?

International Friends small group tour bus
Small group tour bus

On this small group tour you travel in a small touring bus with a passenger capacity of 16 people. Other “standard” coach tours from London use full size touring coaches with around 50 passengers, and on a few tours over 70.

On a small group tour you will receive a personalised guiding service. The driver/guide is able to gauge where the interests of the passengers line, tailoring commentary, sometimes itinerary to those interests And of course you have much better access to the guide to ask questions and be more informed.

Where possible, the tour will venture off the main roads down the country lanes into the countryside where the large tour groups cannot venture.
