The Holiday Inn Heathrow (Bath Road) is one of the physically closest hotels to the central terminals, (Terminals 1 and 3) positioned near the main entrance to Heathrow Airport.

There are now four Holiday Inn Heathrow Hotels, the others are Holiday Inn Ariel, Holiday Inn M4 Junction and Holiday Inn Express Terminal 5. There is little to choose between the 3 Holiday Inn options, all have their pluses and minuses and prices relative to each seem to change all the time.

Perhaps the outstanding feature of Bath Road Holiday Inn at Heathrow is its position. It has a pub serving food, a small supermarket, pizza/pasta restaurant and a McDonalds all within 5-10 walk. Free public buses pass the door into Heathrow Airport for Terminals 1,3 and 5 as an alternative to the dedicated hotel bus that charges a fee.

There are also free public buses that go from Heathrow's Central Bus Station to the Holiday Inn Heathrow (Bath Road). Most red buses do the short trip, routes 105 and U3 among them.

The Holiday Inn Heathrow is one of the closest hotels to Terminals 1 and 3, though you cannot walk to the terminals.

About 200m away east of the hotel is Sovereign Food & Wine. This is a small convenience store which includes fruit, confectionery and wine. There is also a cash machine inside. It is found on the east side of the Park Inn, the next hotel to the Holiday Inn. Next door to Sovereign is a Pizza/Pasta Restaurant.
