The
Travelodge Terminal 5 Heathrow is
a new hotel opened in December 2007.
It is positioned at the south western tip of Heathrow, and is one
of the closest hotels to Terminal 5. |

Like
all its peers in the Travelodge chain the hotel is a no frills budget
hotel. Expect a well equipped bedroom equivalent to a good 3 star
hotel but little else in terms of services. Just a bar and cafe.
The other key aspect of the hotel is if you are not using Terminal
5. The hotels shuttle bus (chargeable) only goes to Terminal 5.
For the other terminals you will need to take the Heathrow Express,
(free and running every 15 minutes) to the central area of Heathrow.

Hotels
cannot run their own complementary shuttle buses to the terminals.
Instead a fleet of 'Hoppa Buses', (pictured left) regulated by the airport
authority run on fixed routes, each serving 2 or 3 hotels.

Hoppa services run to Terminal 5 only.
Heathrow Express trains run every 15 minutes between Central (Terminals
1,2,3) and Terminal 5.
For Terminal 4 go to Central (Terminal 1,2,3), then the Heathrow
Connect train (free) or there is a free public bus between Terminal
4 and Terminal 5.

Travelodge Heathrow is quite isolated by junction 14 of the
M35 motorway.
There is little in the immediate vicinity and no public transport.
The only link for foot passengers is the hotel bus to Terminal 5
Adjacent is a large industrial estate with businesses serving the
airport.
You can walk for about 10 minutes into the village where there is
a pub.
