Sofitel Hotel Heathrow Airport Terminal 5
Rooms From £114 Per Night (Cheapest Rooms Weekends & Holidays)
![]() |
One of the newest hotels at Heathrow, the Sofitel Heathrow opened in July 2008 shortly after the opening of Terminal 5.
Adjoining Terminal 5 of Heathrow Airport, Sofitel London Heathrow offers 605 bedrooms. The hotel features the best in fine dining, theatre style cooking, a lobby bar, tea salon and a cocktail bar, as well as a state of the art Health Spa and Gym and extensive undercover car parking.
Although there is little in the vicinity other than the passenger terminal, you can be in London very quickly using the Heathrow Express rail service taking you to Central London in just 21 minutes. The London Underground offers a cheaper and slower alternative.
There are frequent local buses from Terminal 5 to Windsor that stop outside the castle and run late into the evening.
Terminal 5 is a couple of miles from the other passenger terminals at Heathrow. Terminal 4 has the Hilton Heathrow, a similarly luxurious hotel to the Sofitel attached to it. Terminals 1 and 3 have no hotels within walking distance, the Sofitel can be used for these terminals and in terms of time is as close as any.
The Heathrow Express train runs every 15 minutes from Terminal 5 to the central area where Terminals 1 and 3 are located. The Heathrow Express is much faster than other airport hotels transfer buses and unlike them is free too.
