The Marriott Windsor / Heathrow is by Junction 5 on the M4 motorway, about 5 miles west of Heathrow. The Marriott Windsor / Heathrow has a sister hotel called Marriott Heathrow which is on the main airport hotel strip (the Bath Road) opposite the north runway at Heathrow airport.

Nevertheless, the Marriott Windsor is just as close to Terminal 5 than the Marriott Heathrow and both have similar transfer options.

As its name suggests the Marriott Windsor is close to Windsor, a much more agreeable place to spend an evening than around the bland international airport.

Public buses stop in front of the hotel and provide frequent, cheap transport to neighbouring towns including Windsor so you can combine sightseeing prior to or after your flight.

The Marriott Windsor is also in a residential area where local restaurants and services are at local prices. There is a pub restaurant opposite and a chain steak/chicken restaurant within sight of the front of the hotel.

There are 4 passenger terminals at Heathrow numbered 1,3,4 and 5. The hotels at Heathrow are not allowed to run their own airport shuttle vehicles between the airport and the hotels.

Hoppa Buses - are regulated by the airport authority and run on fixed routes, each serving 2 or 3 Heathrow airport hotels. Hotels have one bus for Terminals 1 & 3, another for Terminals 4 & 5.

Note: There is no Hoppa Bus service connecting Terminal 4 and the Marriott Windsor.

There are public buses that stop across the road from the Marriott Hotel, running into Heathrow airports bus station several times an hour, slightly more frequent than the Hoppa Bus. The Bus station is between Terminals 1 and 3 at Heathrow. There is a free train, the Heathrow Express to Terminal 4 from underneath Terminal 3.

Public buses also run to Windsor and much more frequently to Slough the local main shopping centre where there are good connections to Windsor, the other side of the River Thames.
