The
Thistle Hotel Heathrow is at the
north-west corner of Heathrow along the northern perimeter road
- the Bath Road close to Longford village.
The Thistle Hotel Heathrow is a large four star, two storey hotel.
Unlike most Heathrow Hotels there is opportunity to eat and drink
outside the hotel. There are good pubs in the village and a McDonalds
close by.
The hotel has a great viewing area and bar overlooking the runway
at Heathrow. There is a Health Club across the road that guests
can use for which a charge is made.

Hotels
cannot run their own complementary shuttle buses to the terminals.
Instead a fleet of 'Hoppa Buses', (pictured left) regulated by the airport
authority run on fixed routes, each serving 2 or 3 hotels.

Hoppa services run to Terminals 1,2,3 and Terminal 5 (separate services)
For Terminal 4 go to Central (Terminal 1,2,3), then the Heathrow Connect
train (free). Heathrow Connect trains run every 15 minutes between
Central and Terminal 4.
Buses run every 15-20 minutes between the hotel and passenger terminals
approximately between 05:15 and 23:00.
Fare £4 per journey per adult (£8 return)
Public buses run from the central bus station to within 200m of the
Thistle. Get any bus going to Windsor or Slough, they run about every
15 minutes. Get off opposite the Sheraton Hotel, next to McDonalds.
You can take the free Heathrow Connect and Heathrow Express trains
between Terminals 4,5 and Central (between Terminals 1,2,3).
